Ernest E. Barrett, DDS

Dr. Barrett graduated from the University of Washington, School of Dentistry in 1969. He served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy with the dental staff from 1969 to 1971. After fulfilling his military service, he started his private practice in Seattle, WA., where he has been for the past 34 years.
Dr. Barrett has been a member of the State of Washington’s Dental Quality Assurance Commission since 1996 to the present. Since 1972 he has been an Affiliate Professor at the University of Washington, School of Dentistry, Restorative Department.

In 2000, Dr. Barrett and his dental assistants attended the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Arts. While there Dr. Barrett was recognized as a Master in Aesthetic Dentistry. Dr. Barrett and the staff continue to stay current with the latest advances in dentistry through hours of continuing education courses.

Recently, Dr. Ernie Barrett was voted “Best Dentist” on King 5 Evening Magazine’s “Best of Western Washington” T.V. show.

Dr. Barrett is a member of the American Dental Association, Washington State Dental Association, and Seattle King County Dental Association.

During his free time, Dr. Barrett enjoys hiking, fishing and spending time with his family.

Ernesto Ricardo Schwedhelm, DDS, MSD

Dr. Schwedhelm received his D.D.S at the Universidad Tecnologica de Mexico in 1978. From Indiana University, he received an M.S.D (1983), Certificate of Fixed and Removable Partial Prosthodontics (1983) and a Certificate of Removable Prosthodontics, also in 1983. The national Dental Examining Board of Canada certified him for practice in August of 1983. He completed a Fellowhip in Prosthodontics at the Royal College of Dentists of Canada in 1995 and a Certificate of Prosthodontics from the College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia in 1997.

Currently, Dr. Schwedhlem maintains a private practice in Seattle as well as being a Clinical Assistant Professor of Restorative Dentistry at the University of Washington. He has also been a consultant for the Washington State Department of Health from March 2000 to present. Since August 2002 he has held a Co-Chair position on the Curriculum Committee at the University of Washington. Dr. Schwedhelm holds dental licenses in Mexico, Alberta (Canada, non practicing), British Columbia (Canada, non-practicing), the state of Washington and the state of Illinois.

Dr. Schwedhelm continues to attend classes on Prosthodontics to keep himself abreast of the latest developments and techniques. He also has many publications to his name in his chosen field.

Dr. Schwedhelm holds family to be very important and has participated in his children’s lives not only as a father, but as a coach of youth sports. He is also very involved in his church and volunteering in youth-oriented programs.
